
The leadership of Liberia Tennis Federation
The Liberia Tennis Federation has officially launched the 3rd edition of its Aminata Tennis Open at the residence of Aminata & Sons Chief Executive Officer, Siaka Toure on Bushrod Island. The tournament kicked off over the weekend and it would end at the last Sunday in December.
About 20 tennis players across Montserrado County are participating in the Open.
The event is sponsored by Aminata & Sons. During a program before the official opening of the tournament, keynote speaker Emmanuel Tokpa said the initiative is part of the company’s social corporate responsibilities.
Tokpa added that since the existence of the company, it has been collaborating with different organizations, especially tennis to promote young people.
He used the occasion to re-affirm Aminata & Son’s commitment to ensuring that tennis players in Liberia are promoted at international levels.
Also speaking, the president of the Liberia Tennis Federation, Adolphus Wade thanked Aminata & Sons for the level of support given them over the years.
Wade added that the winner of the event will take home USD1, 000 while the 2nd place winner will receive USD500 and the 3rd place winner will receive USD200.
He noted that each player that makes progress in the ongoing tournament will be given at least USD50.
