The West Africa Football Union, (WAFU) has signed US$24m deal with Fox Sports that will see competition in the region every quarter for the next 12 to 24 years.
According to a post on facebook by Mr. Musa Hassan Bility, president of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), the deal opens the way for the 1st edition of the WAFU Tournament to be held in Liberia next year June or July (2017).
He said the deal was signed last Saturday in Dakar, Senegal, and during the tournament FIFA President Infantino and CAF President Issa Hayatou would be among the number of sporting dignitaries that would be in attendance.
“I'm proud to have represented Liberia and WAFU at the signing ceremony in Dakar,” Bility said.
