Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) have been crowned Liberia champions for 2015/16 top flight.

BYC maintained their composure to emerge champions after the league took a nosedive as a result of the Ebola crisis between 2013 and 2015.

Each of the participating teams tasted 23 matches in total with BYC finishing at the top with 43 points to be crowned for the fourth time winners of Division One.

The 'Blue Boys' as BYC are affectionately called sealed the title after a 2-0 victory over Kiterace FC at the Bluefield Stadium in Central Monrovia. Mark Paye and Prince Saydee each scored in the second half.

Following the triumph, an elated BYC Coach Cooper Sannor said "BYC has a good organizational structure and the level of support has been great. I hope to replicate this performance at the top level of African football next year," with the champions billed to represent Liberia in next year's CAF Champions League.

Meanwhile, Mighty Dragons, NPA Anchors and Holders FC have been relegated from the top flight.
